Hap Chan Banawe
'You don't always need to go to Binondo for a good Chinese food, go to banawe instead'
We enjoyed our lunch here!
food is fantastic, I would recommend this place to my friends.
We ordered dimsums, siomai, hakao, shark's fin siomai, chix feet, Chinese style beef steak, steamed fish, steamed kaylan and yang-chow......
everything is good. price is reasonable for its quality.
price range P 150-220 good for 2.....
everything is cooked to order, classic chinese way.
dimsums served 4 pcs. per serving not like chowking's siomai.
chef's verdict 10/10.... I'll come back to this place :)

Pho Hoa Robinsons Otis Manila
'Food doesn't need to be complicated to be delicious'
Everytime I eat in here it's always an enjoyable one.
Simple and healthy meal. I like Vietnamese cuisine's simplicity and respect for natural flavors.
Every bite is like going back to basic.... pure fresh basil herb, fresh togue, lime and patis. the balance of the flavor makes it almost perfect.
We ordered pho - beef bowl, seafood bowl, pomelo salad, fresh spring roll, fried spring roll, tofu and vegetables..... everything is simple but satisfying.
Chef's verdict 10/10.... eat here everyday you won't gain weight. :)
Chowking Lauriat video
I am always a fan of Chowking. I like their Braised beef rice, Halo-halo, Beef wanton noodle soup and lot more. But as the saying goes 'Nothing is perfect'
One weekend I waited for 12mins. for this dish -The Fish lauriat. The pancit is dry, the rice is cold I think there's something wrong with their dispatching during that day.
Anyway I still ate it :)

Challenges are part of the operation. I do understand where they are coming from!
Chefs verdict - 5/10 needs improvement on the dispatching part.

Luk Yuen Cash and Carry Makati
Luk Yuen Cash and Carry. We went here for a snack.
We ordered siomai, hakaw and almond jelly.
dimsums P 45++
almond jelly with lychee P 50++
Their dimsums are bland. Siomai lacks pork and shrimp flavor. Hakaw is just flat. I don't know what happened to their food.... needs a big improvement.
Dessert. It took 13mins. just to serve a ready to serve dessert! What happened!
The almond jelly is flat, I was looking for the almond flavor. The Lychee is good, well it's canned though :)
Chef's verdict! 2/10.... Needs a big improvement!
Chowking at SM Marikina
Happy mondays at Chowking SM Marikina... not so happy!
I was confused with their menu board.
The ad says 50% off every Monday. The information was not written in their menu board. The customers will get confused when they see the receipt. I was one of them.
'50% off on the following items.....' It was not written clearly in the board that you should have at least 2 friends with you to avail this.....
Anyway I ordered fish lauriat P 99.00 plus siomai P 36 I think...
Lauriat took 12mins to be served. The food is not hot enough when I received it. The pancit canton is dry.
Siomai 3pcs.??? I believe, in Chinese traditions dimsums like siomai should always be 4 when it is served.
The verdict! Dispatching service needs improvement. Information in the menu board should not be confusing. Fish lauriat needs improvement.

Apag Marangle - Bacolor, Pampanga
Lunch at Apag Marangle, Bacolor, Pampanga.
Price of food ranging from 150-280 good for 2.
They serve pampanga's specialty food like Tugak-frog (stuffed and fried), Camaru (sauteed cricket), Pinaupong manok (pan steamed) chicken sitting on rock salt in a pan, fried hito and Pampanga's asado (2nd picture after Camaru).
Camaru tastes like shreddeded chicken meat sauteed with garlic and a bit of vinegar.
Tugak is like fried chicken. The difference is, it is just smaller.
Bird's nest soup is addicting:)
Pinaupong Manok is a bit different with the regular steamed or fried chicken. The taste and texture is a bit 'gamey' (game meat). It will go along nicely with soy sauce vinegar dip.
Chef's verdict! 10/10 authentic and exotic but edible :) I love classic slow cooked food like these.... Far from our Hotel and Restaurant food.....

Apag Marangle is along San Fernando Subic Highway... from NLEX exit San Fernando follow the road going to Subic. The Restaurant is after King's Royal Hotel.
A must try Restaurant in this area.
